Note: you don't need TWRP for rooting with Magisk. After unlocking bootloader from above tutorial, just install the Magisk.apk, patch boot.img (extracted from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com) and flash together with vbmeta.img from fastboot.
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img

When i extract the framework, there is no boot.img file

I came here by accident i was looking for a way to root my xiaomi mi a1 and ended up here. All the normal ways of doing it did not work because the tutorials where all made for older version of android. My a1 is on android 13 pixel experience and this worked great just don't flash the vbmeta.img. thank u for the simpel explanation 👍

Hello,

The firmware site is no longer available. Any alternatives?

I'm on Redmi 10A, would the procedure the same?

It's been a long time since I last rooted an old android... just wondering if you can share where I can download Magisk.apk, vbmeta.img and fastboot item.
