Pezeshkian arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Tehran, IRNA – President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, where he will deliver a speech at the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The president, who is visiting Kyrgyzstan to participate in the SCO summit 2026, was welcomed upon arrival in Bishkek by the country’s deputy cabinet chief on Monday.

During the two‑day trip, Pezeshkian will hold meetings with Kyrgyzstan’s president, Sadyr Japarov, as well as the president of Tajikistan and the prime ministers of India and Pakistan.

He will also take part in the official opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games at the invitation of the Kyrgyz president.

On the second day of the visit, he will address the summit of SCO and SCO Plus leaders. Moreover, holding a bilateral meeting with the president of Russia is on the agenda of Pezeshkian’s trip.
