Dell R540 and PERC H740P Adapter (Embedded) with configured:

  • RAID 10
  • 1 Virtual Disk, size: 2.7 TB
  • 6 x SSD Micron MTFDDAK960TDD 960 GB (2 free slots left)
  • Windows 2019 Server Core with Hyper-V VMs

I screwed up, assigned too much space to one of the VMs and now I'm still having problems with it. I would like to expand the capacity of this array.

Can I just put 2 new disks in the 2 free slots? Can I expand this one virtual disk later from the iDRAC 9 Web interface?

Yes, you can do it but don't Forget to Backup your data before. You'll probably need to perform adittional tasks in your OS.
