  • HERES WHY I GAVE 3 STARS!

I love lime because it’s fun and it is a good way of socialising for a very low and affordable price. What’s been the issue lately is that I haven’t been able to ride for a full day without the constant need of thinking about how much time I’ve got left before my ride pass ends. I used to use the 24 hour ride pass which was great because I had no interruptions and it lasted me the entire day. You’ve now removed the 24 hour pass and have given the option which is the 240 minute ride pass which gives a lot less time and is more than double the price than the 24 hour ride pass was. I’ve now got to pay more for less time, doesn’t make sense right? I originally switched from Neuron to Lime because Neuron was just way too expensive for me and it didn’t seem like they had many benefits for the buyer. So I checked out Lime and saw the 24 hour ride pass and went wow… that’s an amazing deal. That ride pass was the reason that I switched to Lime and probably the reason for a lot of other people too. Please bring back the 24 hour ride pass so that myself and others can ride comfortably and stress free for only a very low price.

Pros: I like the idea of electric bike sharing! I’m also a customer of car sharing. I live in Sydney CBD and don’t own a car!The app is easy to use & comes with instructions and even a map to show you parkings etc. (if you leave it at unsafe places you may be fined but you don’t have to end your trip at a parking stop but I guess it gives you incentive if you do!)Cons:The Bike is extremely heavy! So moving it unpowered is a challenge! The seat is adjustable HOWEVER, I the handles are not! The distance between the seat & handles cannot be adjusted! I’m 170 cm and not a short person but I have body aches since I found myself slouching to be able to comfortably grip on!Another ergonomic issue is that the brakes are TOO hard so I still have fingers pain (my digit swollen since my ride!) especially that I rode it on a downhill and had to have a grip on the brakes most of the time! Again, the distance between the grips & the handles are too much & unless you’re a giant and have really strong hands it would tire you!Cost is more than a luxury car! (I get GoGet convertible 19 bucks an hour on a frequent membership!) but the bike cost me 30 bucks an hour! Probably because No membership or insurance like car hire!A hygiene advice: they have similar services in Europe and they offer disposable hair cap with each helmet! If you’re a health freak I suggest bring your own helmet and don’t use the shared one! Also the helmet didn’t unlock/lock properly maybe more instructions on that! Overall a 3.5 rating for me as it’s convenient but not very comfortable!

I like Lime scooters... they are handy for getting around and I think they are well priced. However, it is frustrating to see a scooter in the app, walk towards it and have it disappear as you get close only to have to find another one and have the same thing happen. There should be an option to reserve the scooter to stop this futility. Also, the scanner in the app does not work at night unless you are right under a street light. And if you try to wheel the scooter a short way along the road to get it under a street light it screeches at you - which is very loud in a suburban street and no doubt the bane of any parent trying to get little ones to sleep. I tried to use the torch on my phone but as soon as I opened the app it shut off the torch - perhaps the app could be fixed to allow these to work together for people who want to get a scooter home after dark.

My first time using the bike, i got one and i noticed it was extremely slow and very heavy to push around, i went half an hour trying to boost the speed thinking it would eventually get better. Turns out it had 0.7 kilometres left on it, and the battery was practically dead. Not once did i can any info on this, i didn’t know that was paying for a bike that didn’t even work. I did not enjoy using this bike today, and i think that you should invest in adding a low battery warning before i pay, because as a first time rider i was completely unaware and i did not enjoy using this bike. Please, add a low battery warning before we spent money for this. Also, there’s almost no bikes with helmets, the odds of finding a bike with a helmet are basically 1/100 and tho is dangerous AND illegal. Please fix these problems because if these were fixed i would absolutely love using lime bikes in the future

I found myself in a risky situation while using one of the e-bikes. The map screen went completely black during my ride, which prevented me from confirming if I was within a permitted riding zone or not. Unfortunately, it turned out I had ventured into a non-permitted area, causing the e-bike to stop functioning. I found myself stranded on a main road, unable to continue riding. Luckily, it was early, and there weren't many cars around at that time. I tried to walk the bike to my destination but couldn't complete the ride because the bike remained inoperable, and I couldn't determine where to park it due to the blank map.In conclusion, my experience was marred by a sudden map malfunction that led me into a non-permitted area, leaving me stuck on a main road with an inoperable e-bike and no clear guidance on where to park it.Please Fix the map!

  • Poor communication from the app to the bike leaves me out of pocket on holiday.

Flew into Sydney today and thought Lime was an excellent choice to explore the city. Had a few issues with unlocking the bike due to a wheel spoke resting against the wheel lock on the bike. In trying to unlock the bike, there was no indication that this was the case from the app, but after adjusting the rear wheel, the lock opened with no issue. After finishing my journey, I’ve noticed that my account has been charged the correct amount, but also an extra $28 has been withdrawn from my bank account. While I have no issue with preauthorisations, overdrawing a customer’s account without their knowledge due to a technical issue with the bike itself, as well as poor communication from the app to the bike, isn’t really fair. I understand that in pre-adding balance to a Lime account bypasses preauthorisation stage, and this was suggested to me as a solution to the issue, but this wasn’t actually clarified until I had to call support.Nowhere on my ride receipt does the preauthorisations show, and even if the money isn’t lost forever and will return to my account, I’m out of pocket while I’m on holiday, and the reimbursement will not be expected to return to my account until I’m home.I would suggest a clear message to the customer so they’re aware of the preauthorisations, as well as fixing the hardware issue that caused the issue in the first place.
