Daylio is easily customisable, giving it multiple uses. It functions fantastically both as a mood, behaviour and health tracker, and as a diary/journal. It functions well as a habit tracker with the option to implement personalised notification reminders if wanted.Daylio is particularly interesting as it provides reports that assess correlations between moods and behaviours, which can act as useful indicators of potential problematic or healthy behaviours.Importantly, data is regularly backed up to the cloud, and easily exported into PDF or CSV documents. If of interest, CSV exports data in a clean manner, allowing for easy data analysis in statistical programs. The sole downside to the app is that entries require users to select a mood in order to log written entries, photos, or behaviours, which makes backdating entries difficult. I would appreciate being able to add photos/notes to days even when I cannot remember my mood. Considering the app is marketed as a mood tracker, this is understandable, of course. Lastly, Daylio puts recognisable effort into maintaining and improving their app. They have increased the number of photos that can be added per entry, which is fantastic. I also look forward to them someday allowing videos to be saved/linked in entries: the true advantage of digital over physical diaries/trackers!
Thanks for such a thoughtful and detailed review 💛 We’re really glad Daylio works for you as a tracker, journal, and analysis tool, and that exports and backups are useful for deeper insights. Your feedback about backdating entries and videos is super valuable 🙏😊
