Now Better Than The Original Game.

I’ve been playing this game almost since it started and loved it. Then there was a take over of the original owners by the present company and the app did suffer for a while because of that. I didn’t complain, but wasn’t enjoying it as much as I had been. Recently there have been a lot of changes made as this company is finding it’s feet and getting to know it’s clientele. Some changes were good, others not so good, however, the powers that be have obviously been listening to their clientele and over a very short time the bad choices were dropped and the good ones kept. Now just about every few days I’m surprised at the brilliant innovations and improvements being made as this team is striding ahead with ideas that are making this app more and more addictive. This game is now streaks ahead of the old, original game, it’s exciting, extremely informative about how interior design works, the encouragement I get now makes me feel so much more confident in my abilities and the only detrimental thing that I can think of is that it is becoming more and more addictive. It takes a lot of willpower to stop playing. I highly recommend Redecor to anyone interested in learning how to decorate rooms and houses properly, not simply in the app, because it changes the way you decorate your own home too. 8 out of 5 is what I truly rate this app.

Addictive and amazing!

At first glance, I expected this game to be money hungry, greedy, and difficult to advance, however I was completely wrong.The game redecor offers in-app cash that allows you to buy new materials and surfaces, which I believe to be reasonably priced seeing as you can use them 5 times. Money can be earned through completing challanges, completing tasks, daily prizes, levelling up, winning challenges and voting. Because of the 5 uses per material I find more often than not I can create a beautiful design without spending a cent of my in app cash or gold, I result in earning money through entering the challenge itself, I am still also placing in the competition hence making more in app money. The little tasks offered are easy to complete with rewards like $10,000! I’m not having spend any real money, or spend copious amounts of time voting to earn cash. The competitions and challenges are diverse, my favourite being the duel challenges in which you go up against another person in hopes that your room is voted higher than theirs to win. Whilst some materials are unlocked, the array of ore unlocked materials are amazing and are practically cohesive with any design, however, if you choose to unlock more options you can do so with the tokens earned with each competition you complete, it’s too easy. I’ve only been playing a mere week and I’m already at level 20. There are enough challenges to suffice the day and keep you interested and I’m not waiting ridiculous amounts of time for results. Even if I’m not winning a challenge, I believe the voting is fair being reflected in the results. I love this game and it’s concept. It’s free. It’s fun, and it’s easy!

Gone downhill

This used to be such a good app but it’s gone a bit downhill as time’s gone on. Firstly it seems that more and more of the materials are purchased using the gold coins rather than the cash. You get a daily gift of 500 coins but apart from that the only way to win coins is to place in the top 3 for the challenges or be willing (I’m not) to purchase with actual money. Secondly, in almost all of the challenges you can only use a small range of preselected materials, a vast majority of which are gold coin purchases: see point number one. They have a season theme where they assign a free gift for X amount of points. These so called prizes are quite frankly usually so hideous they are unusable so they just sit in your inventory for literally yearsLastly they have done some weird thing with your purchased items where they show recent purchases and materials you own. Previously they would have, say, 10 of your most recently obtained materials, even if you had used it all and owned items displaying only the items you still have in stock so a recently purchased item would show up in both sections. Now all of a sudden anything that has recently been bought is only showing up in the recently purchase section, not the owned section. It’s completely unhelpful and very confusing. Having said that, when I’ve previously contacted the support team they have generally been very helpful and prompt in their reply. I am going to contact them directly about the last issue so we’ll see how that goes

Becoming frustrated and puzzled

Usually love this game but lately I have become puzzled by the poor quality of a lot of winning designs. One even had timber in their shower. That’s not to mention people who use tiles on ceilings and other silly things. And who would really decorate with 2 or more of the same pieces of artwork on a wall or room - no matter how nice the design I won’t vote for these. The rest of us struggle to put designs together with differing artworks and this is what the real world is like. All up, many of the works of winners are dubious and not realistic, to put it kindly.To the developer, please give us some new art pieces. I’m bored silly with the current ones. Also, please develop a Go Back facility, letting us go back at least twice, as it’s enormously frustrating to make a choice of something and then realise the previous choice was better but then you have to spend ages trying to find it again.Also think about being able to convert cash to coins and vice versa.Also, I notice quite a few of the designs are being recirculated by the developers and this is becoming tedious.I’m starting to lose enthusiasm for the game but I do believe it is a terrific one and thank the developers very much for jt, maybe i just need a break!

Redecor has and always will have a free-to-play option, which allows our players to complete challenges without spending actual money. The better your designs rank in the voting, the better rewards you get. You can also collect cash and coins by completing daily quests, by voting frequently, and by climbing the levels on Season pass. However, if you would like to play more, unlock items faster, and get more exclusive materials, you can buy additional coins or bundles. This is common practice for many game studios, and this is the path that we are following as well. :) We hope you'll enjoy redecorating with us in the future as well – there are many new features yet to be introduced!
