If your handwritten study notes are more chaotic than you’d like, note-taking app Goodnotes can help you create order. To get the most out of the app for the next semester, we asked three studygrammers – creators who share study content – for their favourite features for learners.
Here’s what they shared:
Neat notes with the Zoom Window
Why it’s useful: “Make sure to use the Zoom Window,” says medicine student Quira, aka @med.with.cookie. “The inconspicuous blue frame allows you to write text and notes smoothly when auto advance is activated. It also helps to maintain a uniform text size when working by hand, which makes it easier to create a clear layout.“

Where to find it: Tap the icon in the Handwriting Toolbar that displays an image with a magnifying glass. Alternatively, long press on the page with your finger, then select Zoom.
Learn efficiently with Study Sets
Why it’s useful: “So many pupils and students simply don’t know about the Study Sets tool yet,” says online media management student Jerome, aka @itz.jerome. “It’s very practical for creating flashcards in any subject, saving you time and allowing you to actively learn the content.“

Where to find it: In the Documents tab, tap New and select Study Set from the list of options.
Navigate your notes with Favorites
Why it’s useful: “As a student with lots of notes, I love how quickly I can navigate through both handwritten and typed content with the help of search,” explains law student Lara Emily, aka @laraemilyofficial. “Marking important pages as Favorites also makes it super easy to jump right back to key topics when revising.”

Where to find it: Tap the three dots in the menu bar and then Add to Favorites to save a page for quicker recall. Access all your marked pages on the Favourites tab.
