Amazing app with a variety of lessons from easier to harder difficulties that makes learning fun and engaging. Also the customer service is very helpful

Skoove is a well made app and the developers should be happy with what they’ve achieved so far. The free trial was a good chance to get some practice in and check out the app. Ultimately, I don’t feel the app is quite finished or feature rich enough for me to consider paying for it yet. I like that the app is pretty easy to use and gives you the choice to follow a curriculum or practice songs of your choosing. They are thoughtfully divided into different grades. The app encourages practice by animations when you complete a task and guides you through building up to a song step by step. There are a few reasons I won’t be subscribing though. The first is that as someone who has studied music a bit, I find the jumps in knowledge between the lessons unevenly spaced. The next is that sometimes a “song” for you to learn in only a few bars or a chorus. This may be satisfactory as a beginner but it is frustrating when you master one part of a song and want to step up to learn the next bit or a more advanced arrangement. This would be great for feeling progress. Another missing feature is phrase training. It is hard to put together a whole chorus when you can’t practice just a couple of bars at a time or rewind in the middle of a section to try a part you’re struggling with several times. One thing that threw me off too was the cursor movement when playing in time, it didn’t feel like it scrolled ‘musically’. I find the claim that it “listens” a bit misleading. It simply uses note recognition and doesn’t give any useful feedback on timing, dynamics or musicianship. The note recognition is prone to error too and struggles with the slightest bit of background noise. It really struggled with an electric keyboard sound too. Plugging in a keyboard to your iOS device is the only way to go with skoove. Finally, sometimes the app feels like it’s wasting your time with praise. Sometimes, you just don’t need the green dots and the dings when you’re trying to practice something again and again. I would consider trying the app again after a revamp as it feels like the developers are trying but it feels like it’s not quite there yet.

So i was doing my stuff and then its like the app was watching me so it said:don’t forget keep your wrists straight.and i freaked out!But such a great app it helps me so much!!!

They make it so hard to cancel a subscription!!! Not cool at all!!!

So they should add like a 150% tempo And they should add more features they should also add like you cannot skip through and placement test and to tell if you pass or not
