Reddit used to be open, with anyone contributing to the code to make it better. It was transparent. Now it is filled with advertisements and algorithmic content to keep you addicted in the worst way. The current Reddit owners are so greedy that they’ve got a special place in hell.

Reddit focus on money is ridiculous. Ill start by saying this app is horrible for me, because ive been a user of a third party for all these years ive been a redditor that suited my needs. It took time to time the perfect one but the ability to choose is something I always appreciated from reddit. Now I tried the oficial app a lot and, if it’s your only experience it’s ok, but if you have tried other options you know how bad it is. The collapse feature for comments its slow, the screen is filled with ads and unwanted recommendations. The UX is so bland with little to no customization, the user interaction and gestures are bad. Reddits App as a whole is horrible and Reddit as a company is a shadow of what it once was
