Zombies are out to get you in Resident Evil 2; in fact, Raccoon City is chock full of them. In this remake of the 1998 survival horror classic, you play as rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy or university student Claire Redfield, both searching for an escape from the undead. Here are a few tips to get you a head start.
A new look
While the original Resident Evil 2 is played from a fixed camera perspective, this version gives you a more comprehensive third-person view of both your character’s movements and the surroundings.
You can now aim your weapon while on the move. And whenever the zombies attack, the camera automatically zooms in to dial up the fear factor. Thanks to graphics that have been enhanced with RE Engine, Raccoon City now feels more eerie than ever.

Play it again
Resident Evil 2 offers exceptional replay value. After completing either Leon or Claire’s storyline, you’ll unlock additional scenes that uncover more of the truth behind the mysterious incident that turned Raccoon City’s habitants feral.
There’s also an extra mode, Fourth Survivor, which features the Umbrella mercenary Hunk, also known as the Grim Reaper. The survival challenges he faces are drastically different from those of Leon and Claire. And both the new stories and the increasing demands on player skill add to the game’s appeal.

The opening section of Resident Evil 2 is free to play. Check the Information section on the product page for device compatibility details.
