What we love: The crafty, creature-focused puzzles. Use a shark to headbutt a rock wall to pieces or become an electric eel to power up an ancient generator. Hop inside an exploding jellyfish and feed it to a giant sea slug. Some puzzles involve jumping from animal to animal – like using a teleporting stingray to zip past predators, then shifting to a piranha to gnaw through cables blocking the diver’s path.

Quick tip: Stuck behind the thick overhead door in Chapter 3? Once you’ve fired up the generator, you can use your possession power on the door control lever just like you would with a creature. Sneaky!

Meet the creator: Spiral Circus’ co-founders – research scientist Dominic Clarke and artist Tom Mead – met at a New Year’s Eve party and decided to jump into game development with both feet. They drew inspiration from a series of Mead’s paintings (including one titled Silt) that depicted characters sinking in deep, dark water.
