We’d be lost without Dropbox—it’s an indispensable part of our digital toolbox. But for all its usefulness, the thing we appreciate most about this cloud-storage app is how little we have to think about it. Whether we’re sharing documents between devices, uploading photos directly from our camera, or emailing large files to friends, it all just works—seamlessly and effortlessly.

  • It’s great. But

Great product used it for years. But latest update has a weird oddity - now when I receive an email with an attachment I want to file in Dropbox I am required to send an email off somewhere with the attachment in order to do it. Plain weird. Used to just be able to file it. But other than that I really appreciate the app and it’s capabilities.

Hey there, thanks for reviewing our app. The Export options have moved around a bit in iOS 13. When saving your attachment, do you have the option (below the top row of choices) to scroll further Down, to see if the "Save to Dropbox" one is there? Also, if you scroll the top row of icons all the way to the right, you can tap on the ellipsis icon to see if there are more Dropbox options available to add.We hope this helps. Keep in mind that you can always get in touch with our support team for assistance at https://www.dropbox.com/support. Cheers!

I normally use Dropbox on the computer. Uploading files is a breeze but using this app......agggghhhh!First of the Recent tab shows deleted files. These should disappear and not show.Uploading a file (the same file) does not prompt you to overwrite the previous file instead creates another file, so you end up with two.?.?????? Why???I have tried to copy files using Apples Files app into Dropbox but that doesn’t seem to work. I mean Dropbox shows under the Location area so why can i not transfer files using this method? When i upload files using the computer and then open Dropbox app on the ipad the same files will say they where uploaded 1minute ago but say it was yesterday? Not today but yesterday!Thats wrong. Also i have noticed that on my iPhone 7 the battery usage drops considerably quickly when Dropbox is running in the background. NO other apps running. Wifi Bluetooth off. Background app refresh off. Just Dropbox doing “something” that drains the battery. I can even swipe away the app to stop it running in the background but it still does! Its now been deleted from the phone.!I have in the past emailed their support but honestly it seems to always be your fault. Not sure how this could be considering the non functioning of the app. Even taken screenshots and pointed things out but never interested.

  • Almost exactly what I need

On the iPad app, it’s missing Space to play and pause video. Also, when playing a video, left and right arrows skip to the next file, rather than going forward or backward 15 seconds. A huge number of people are using iPads with keyboard these days, so this is a big oversight. If Space would play/pause, and there was a way to navigate 15 seconds forward and backward using an external iPad keyboard, then my rating would change to 5 stars. If changing storage providers wasn’t such a tough challenge I would have moved to a platform that provided these features. As it is I’ll wait patiently :-)

  • 1 little part of the app causing a big issue

    agentseven

Current version on some devices ignores mobile upload settings and uploads over mobile data anyway. Have burned through over $100 in data top ups. Gave up and have stopped it using mobile data via iPhone settings. I love Dropbox and have been a customer from the start (business and personal products), so it pains me to give it less than a 5. Giving it a low score because support is basically ignoring the issue in the forums despite plenty of complaints and maybe they value their star ratings more?

  • Dropbox app has everything

I like this app, PDF reader fill, document reader marker , fill and sign function. Document scanner is great automatic size crop and paper white conversion from a photo shot, there’s one thing that could be improved on the scan feature, able to multiple select photos to put in scan formation. I have to select one photo each time and at times it can crash and lose process of consolidating document.
