More than just a GPS, this app shares your rides and runs automatically, so it’s low maintenance. See your rank on your favourite segment, join distance challenges and follow your friends, pros – even foes!

  • My favorite app no doubt.

    StravaRusałka

I am in shock of how badly people comment on this app in App Store. Me and my boyfriend use it almost every day and We thank all the developers who did such an amazing job 🙌🏻It has it’s little lags, wich I believe, if reported constructively - will be fixed (please 😅). But I cannot understand why people think this app has to do all the job for them, and be perfectly fitted for every little wish of every Strava member. Stop being tomatoes you people and go rollerblading with us instead of writing angry comments on free app that helps you, not the other way around. 😅🫡

  • high price, high expectations

If you have some problems with putting advertisements in the activity feed and really need to charge more than 60€ annually, then you'll need to work hard in order not to kill the community and the app. I'm still wondering how narrow-minded you are to call this price "few energy bars monthly", this is true in USA and Western Europe, so you ignore 80% of the world. If you want me to pay for a pack including both features I use and I don't use, you'll need to provide something more, eg. blocking virtual rides, (because Strava is becoming a virtual game during winter and pandemic) and more reliability with recording. In don't know how it can be done, but I expect warning of not recording or low quality recording (OS killing the app) somehow.

  • Bad changes

After last update yearly progress and overall results are gone. It was very important to see that and now it’s gone. I’m very disappointed and probably will look for something else. Also some other features doesn’t work properly like speed (& average speed) when comparing with other devices it gives sometimes +10-20% difference that is a lot. Distance is in range. Segment records are many times cheated and that should be verified. And finally I think there should be two different subscriptions one Pro with everything (which people riding for fun doesn’t need doesn’t check and doesn’t even understand) and cheaper one (not to pay for all the features I don’t use and need).

  • Frustrating and unreliable route suggestions

    DdWeronika

Every time I open the app and ask for a route with a specific distance, the results feel completely random. One day I see a few options, the next day they are gone and replaced with different ones. If something looks interesting, I have to save it immediately even if I do not plan to run it. The AI-generated routes are also inaccurate. One route was shown as 11 km on the map, but when I actually ran it, it was only 9 km. I often ask for 10 km and get routes that are 6 or 11. I run in a large forest with plenty of possible paths, so I know there are many more routes than what the app shows. I do not understand why it cannot just show all available options instead of a random few.

  • No live sync with Apple watch app

    Palmjack

Overall I like the app and I paid for the subscription last year. There’s only one reason I won’t pay for it this year. No apple watch live sync between apps (these are two independent apps as stated on Strava website). When I start the activity on my phone, the watch app has no idea about it. So basically I can start two independent activities on both phone and watch - this is insane. I cannot see current heart rate on phone app, I thought this data will be read from watch (yes, I gave all the needed permissions). You lost a customer. I was hoping to use the map view on the phone, and display all the other data on my watch.

  • Poor Apple watch pairing

    Purobretto

It fails to pair with Apple watch. I’ve been seeing 3 year old threads where people try to solve the same issue (some manage and some don’t like I). Without it, the app will not even estimate burned calories based on speed, pace etc. Basically, every sport tracking app has it - it’s one of the basic features and Strave lacks it. The only way to utilize the activity tracking data to the fullest (so with heart rate data, kcal burned) it is to track sports via default apple fitness app and preview them on Strava which is a very roundabout way to use it.Also, the watch app launches in Japanese even though I neither speak it nor leave nowhere close to Japan.
