We were hoping to avoid making baseball puns, but here’s the problem: The MLB app really does knock it out of the park. It’s a great way to preview the day’s matchups, buy tickets to a game, and follow along via live pitch tracking and high-resolution ballpark renderings.
Please fix ball tracking for the World Series.
Hi, thank you for your feedback! The missing ball trails have been resolved and ball trails will now appear properly in games going forward.
I’ve been rather critical of this app over the last year as they didn’t really do much for it throughout 2025, but the update for 2026 looks fantastic. The avatars for the immersive view look like players now, even better than those for the NBA’s Tabletop mode. And the ability to put up to 5 simultaneous streams is fantastic. Full disclosure: I’m writing this on Opening Day, so I haven’t had the joy of the full experience yet, and there were some glitches as I watched a replay of that game (the program crashed twice before remaining stable, and the animation was about 15 seconds ahead of the video stream), but this is a fantastic improvement over last year’s edition. Well done.
The only positive thing I really have to say about this app is that it allows me to watch baseball sometimes. Sometimes it can’t even do that because it won’t allow me to select which feed I want to view from or if I would like to watch live or start from the beginning. I don’t know why it would need to struggle with allowing me to select options. I swear I have to look up and to the right a little bit of where I’m trying to select in order for it to process my input. This needs to be a lot easier to use, and it should also look a lot better to be honest. The design seems a little careless and could be more aesthetically pleasing. The app also looks terrible in comparison to other Vision Pro apps. It just looks like whoever designed this for the Vision Pro couldn’t care less. For example, the little bar at the bottom for me to move the app around in my space is nowhere in the vicinity of the app itself (not on the same plane on the Y axis or the Z axis). Once the game I select is actually playing, it is very easy to manage; it’s the home screen itself that has the most problems. As far as the typical functions of the MLB app, as I am used to using it, it allows me to pick some favorite teams who will show up first in my library, but it does not allow me to follow my favorite players and see highlights about them like I can do on my phone or tablet. Outside of this, the app provides me with plenty of other options between the games I would like to watch or affiliate games, or highlights around the league generally.I actually do quite like the immersive experience! It allows me to see where the players are on the field as the game is going and allows me to see live stats to the side of the game I’m watching. I also think it looks really cool to be inside of a virtual stadium where the game is being played. I think an ambitious thing someday would be to have a legit environment inside of an actual stadium, but I know that’s ambitious. I also think that a multicast option would be a great direction to head.
This app has a potential to be really good however it is literally impossible to use in its current state. It will not even let me login without seeing just a spinning wheel, trying to load shame because this could really be a great experience for watching baseball if the developers just put in a little bit more effort.
It’s hard to use this app because it’s not displaying properly. I tried all the fixes that I could find on the Internet, but this app appears to be the only issue specifically on the Apple Vision Pro. The home screen is at an angle and it’s too difficult to navigate.
Bad to the point that this app on Vision Pro refuse to use my credentials. The same that I already use on my iPhone. Even after changing the password multiple times. Lousy job!!
Even though I pay to watch my team on a steaming provider, I cannot use this app for watching local games. Makes it completely useless.
First and foremost - I really appreciate that this app exists. But I do have my gripes. With the latest update, it now interrupts other app audio! There are some that aren’t affected, but the other feeds seem to always play at a much louder volume. I also preferred the rounded corners on broadcasts in the previous version. I do like that new features (like highlights and additional immersion stats) were added though. Even so, I still want to be able to open other apps while in the immersive view. Furthermore, it would be amazing to be able to watch multiple games at once. And if they could figure out how to integrate Gameday play by play outside of immersion mode (or possibly create a separate app for it), it would be a huge bonus. But I REALLY look forward to the day when I can watch games in fully immersive 3D 8K Dolby Vision and Atmos, and I really really hope they are working to make this a reality!!!
Unable to use pointer control, or dwell control. Very disappointing.
The virtual cursor makes it impossible to navigate. Doesn’t feel like a native visionOS app. Plus the thumbnails and images look pixelated.
