I will say there are some great shows on the Apple Plus streaming platform. I also like that one can purchase and watch movies/shows independent from the streaming subscription, too. However, the iOS app has some issues that present during the watching of certain content on Apple Plus. Near the very end of an episode, the app routinely will abruptly cut to the start of another show on the service. It seems like this is meant to be a sort of autoplay feature, but it clearly is bugged as it occurs before the credits sequence for the show you’re watching even begins, which cuts out several seconds at the end the episode (you might miss a big, last-minute reveal, for instance).Another bug I’m experiencing is this—when the credits start rolling and the screen minimizes (to showcase another Apple Plus show), you can go back and watch the credits, but when I do this, the play/pause interface stays in the screen, and can’t be hidden. This makes it hard to watch the after-credits behind-the-scenes videos that exist on at least some of the shows on Apple Plus, such as season 2 of Severance (great show). It’s simply a distracting hassle at the end of an episode to be abruptly taken to another show, have to go back to the show I was watching, resize the screen after it minimizes for the other show’s ad, scrub by hand to the end of the credits, and finally have the play/pause interface stuck on the screen during the behind-the-scenes vid. Maybe there could be a “watch behind-the-scenes featurette” button that appears alongside the ad at the start of the credits? If Apple is reading this, please fix these two bugs and consider something like I offered to make these after-credits clips easier to watch. With all these issues, they’re very easy to miss!
