Huge baseball fan here, this really scratches the itch, even if you are just sim-ing some innings and some games (if you pay for it). As much as I love the game, I have my gripes with it, which I wouldn’t put into a whole review if I didn’t actually care about the longevity of the game. Some glitches concerning pitching, “file read errors” when trying to look at the scoreboard, no explanation of how to advance runners or steal bases and the most concerning and frustrating, losing the championship to a team that didn’t even make the finals, let alone the entire playoffs. That being said, did I still pay the 2.99 for the premium version? You bet I did, because even though the issues I had were annoying, I’m still having a blast with the game. It might be a little daunting at first but it’s pretty easy to pick up and figure out the rest of the mechanics.

I love this game. This is one of if not the only mobile baseball game that is good and actually fun. It’s a free game and doesn’t require any paywall for free agents or upgrades. Getting the money to upgrade facilities or contract free agents is very easy with the option to buy some money. The one thing that is a little annoying is the strike system. Sometimes you can get a strike but the Ump will call it Strike 3 and throw the hitter out. It’s really annoying especially if you have 3 guys on base and you have 2 outs and you get a strike and you then the inning is over. Also sometimes the pitcher will throw a ball twice in the same motion and the strike system has the same effect where it counts it as 2 strikes even if you hit it from my experience. I am not sure if this is an issue for other players but this only happens 1/5 of the time and is not a game breaking glitch. By any means this is not a reason to not give the game a try.

The app is far from perfect, as a matter of fact I was close to deleting it before I really gave it a chance. It’s a bit buggy sure, with base runners running into the infield instead of home, my 3rd slot hitter being skipped for the 4th slot hitter after the 2nd slot ended the inning with an out. Stadiums (with hopefully a few more additions) are pretty sick too. It’s the closest we got to a retro bowl-style game and I appreciate the hell out of the developers for making a no frills game like this. A couple tweaks and fixes (i.e. get rid of the ridiculously hard “gotcha” reporter questions for something else because I treat it like a 50/50 chance. Maybe questions to test the coaches personality which increases/decreases the fan support) and this game would be perfect. Probably gonna get the paid version soon.Edit: FIX THE STRIKE ZONE. WHY ARE PITCHES THAT ARE UNHITTABLE OR WAY INSIDE CALLED STRIKES!

I’m glad some of the bugs were patched in the last update. Things seem to improve slightly. But I’d like to mention a few bugs that have still been hindering greatly. For starters it seems now that I purchased premium new season schedules won’t load nor will the opposing teams’ name ever appear. And in the draft I have to keep resetting to get through. I’ll have to select round 1 then game freezes so I reset select round 1 and 2 and game freezes again and I reset etc. but it does seem that since buying premium the game got worse. Unclear if there’s a link. There’s also a problem where homeruns hit that barely get over the wall but still go out the park without a bounce will get called back to ground rule double. Really like to reiterate the deterioration of game saves once simmed through a couple games and starting the following season.
