Hey! I don’t usually write reviews but I felt like this deserved one. I absolutely love this app. Quite a few months ago, I wanted to figure out a decision. Not sure what it was…but I wanted a magic 8 ball nonetheless. I saw this and decided to give it a download. A very good decision on my part, haha get it decision? I’m not very funny.This app has a lot of cool features. I really like the quirky achievements, like mentioning cookie clicker on the 3000th try of magic 8 ball, and witching hour, opening the app at midnight. I especially like all the custom responses you can do! You can literally type anything! I have a pack of about 50 or so right now and it’s just honestly what I would say if I was a magic 8 ball, but you could do so much more! I have to mention the widget real quick. It’s like a fortune, and always SO SCARILY ACCURATE! My friend was trying to help me do something and it said “Someone will help you with something”, (which the message shows pretty often but cool coincidence).Overall an amazing app! I listed my favorite features here but there are so many more to discover. Great app, I’m excited to see what comes in new updates! :)

Hey Hayden!! I love the app, I just got it yesterday for my iPhone and it is GREAT! I just loaded it with all the best local fast food places and restaurants. My boyfriend and I are both incredibly indecisive almost every single date night we try to plan together. This should be a fun fix to that! However, I am having a hard time getting the app to work the same on my Apple Watch. How can I get the custom responses to come up on my watch, instead of the default ones? Is this possible yet, or do I just not know how to use my watch correctly? (I also just got my watch like two weeks ago..) Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! 😊👍🏼

Hi, I'm so glad you love the app! Sending custom responses to the Apple Watch is not possible right now, but I am currently working on that feature and it will be out soon!

This isn’t a great app-it’s a masterpiece. Every detail of Modern Magic Ball was intricately crafted to cause maximum joy—and minimum stress. With all the modes it has (one that can be rude, one that improves upon the original 8 ball answers, and the others that can help with day-to-day decisions), alongside it’s customizability, allows it to excel in being a good app. Having the ability to work on your watch is another great bonus, and it’s all packaged up for a cheap $0.99. Overall, it’s useful and fun, and I’d swear this could cost 20$.

Start with settings that don't work and move along to the glaring spellings like "Yes spelled as Yess". Animations don't work on iPad Pro. The developer should review app before releasing it. Even free apps deserve quality control.......I just got a notice. The developer instead of checking out the bugs decided to insult me and post that i'm a liar. Apple should drop this developer for being so rude.I have received another response from the developer. Quote "I'm sorry about the reply. You did come across as a little rude to me, but that was no way for me to reply" End Quote. The developer should have stopped with "I'm Sorry" . I have removed the app from my iPad and stick by my review which was not a lie. Some settings do not function properly and the app has spelling errors. The point of the review process is to make apps better.

The video games response topic now comes default with over 1000+ video games! - Updated the Emoji response language to include new Emoji! - Expanded the Fast Food Places option to include a few of the more fast casual places like Panda Express. - Magic Ball now requires iOS 13.0 or later to better manage the codebase. - Searching within custom response sets or when editing customizable response topics is now much improved! You can now delete or edit responses while searching! - Fixed an issue where songs from the Songs response topic would not properly search when the “Open song in” button was pressed. - Improved fallback detection was also put into place to complete web searches when the music service is not installed when using the Songs response topic. - Improved reliability of the Use Magic Ball Application Shortcut. - Moved lifecycle handling to the newer Scene Delegate system. - Fixed a crash when going back to the Custom Response Sets list from editing a specific set if the Custom Response Sets listed had a search query running. 6.8.1 Fixes: - Fixed an issue where the Movies Response Topic would not get filled in with a default list when updating from 6.7.1. - Fixed an issue where the page title margins in the navigation bar was 0 on older iOS versions. - Fixed an issue where the Magic Ball Button was clipping off the screen on smaller devices like the iPhone 6s. - Fixed an issue where the achievement progress bar would be too thin on certain devices.
