The TeleGuard-ID is your very personal identification number that you need in order to connect with your friends. Every TeleGuard user receives an ID number and a QR code, which can be sent out to get in touch with others. Swisscows has set itself the task of protecting its users from data misuse in every situation. As the smartphone is the most widely used medium in the world nowadays, a secure messenger is indispensable. Highly secure and modern server All servers are located in the data centers in Switzerland. A complex encryption system is used for all transmitted data and absolutely no user data is stored on the servers. Everything is absolutely anonymous. That's why TeleGuard is better than the others TeleGuard encrypts every message and voice call with the one of the best encryption algorithm currently available: SALSA 20. Since our servers are in Switzerland, we are not subject to the data protection laws of the EU / USA and do not have to pass on any data. How is my privacy secured? HTTPS, end-to-end encryption, deletion of messages from the server after reading. No user data, neither IP address nor other, is recorded or stored. Very slow development..

The company switched very fast to paid service whether it is the messenger or the email.. but as fast as they turned all their services into paid services as slow is the development.. no native iPad app 🤦‍♂️ after I received an response from them somewhere over I guess 18 months ago that it is in progress.. design is definitely a little bit outdated for 2025.. but overall i still use it along with Threema and signal.. messages are working fine.. I have a small bug with the emojis.. I would say maybe in the next update it should be solved.. but when is the next update..

The native version for the iPad and iOS as a whole is in the final stages of development and is already undergoing internal testing.In general, TeleGuard is constantly being developed. Further major changes are only expected in the native versions.

The app is definitely a work in progress. It lags ALOT. When trying to send media even if it’s 19 secounds it takes for ever to upload and then even that the download speed is crazy long for something so short. Try to send family from overseas videos and they just take too long. Even a 10 second video I was trying to send saying hello takes for ever. Please update your stuff. There are literally so many apps that have faster download and upload speed than TeleGuard. It might not be working as good but others definitely have their media sending and downloading issue handled. Also if someone is sending media to someone why would they be required to download it manually. It should automatically be downloaded if someone send them something. On another note. Why does media expire after a certain amount of time? I heard it was a TeleGuard thing where after two weeks the media will expire. Please remove that or fix it to keep media content on there. Please work on that. Like REALLY work on it. Telegram puts yall to shame.

The privacy model is better than most other apps. I am hoping this becomes more stable in the near-term. One issue I am having is receiving notifications from a user in Mainland. This user is also having issues with receiving notifications.

A better alternative to Signal?

The privacy model is better than most other apps. I am hoping this becomes more stable in the near-term. One issue I am having is receiving notifications from a user in Mainland. This user is also having issues with receiving notifications.

Love the privacy aspect. I wish there was a way when clicking links you could anonymously preview it like in the swisscows app.I wish we could customize what the screen looks like. A dark mode would be excellent. Maybe even different colors.—Update: There is now a dark mode! My eyes won’t be strained anymore and I’m really glad. There’s also these things called Clubs, which I’m sure is the reason the rating went from general use to 17+ only. I don’t really use the Clubs and they’re a nuisance to have, but I’m glad I can toggle them off. I still love this app.
