This game is amazing, because there is just so much do to, so much to learn, and very versatile in the way you play. It rewards both a pay-to-win style gameplay, but it also rewards a free-to-play style gameplay. I cannot emphasize just how much there is to do. I’ve been playing for almost 4 years, maybe even 5 years by now, and I still am nowhere near to finishing the game. The PvP system is also very nice, and while you don’t exactly get matched with people of similar rank, that is beneficial because it encourages the player to actually learn to play the game. This game, is one that isn’t too easy to the point that a person who started a week ago can be a veteran, but not hard to the point where it might be unattractive to players. Arguably, the best part is that while it is very grindy, it is fun to the point that it doesn’t feel like a chore to grind. Also, if you don’t like the dubbed voices or the “4kids” version of yu-gi-oh, you can change the character language of the game, to either korean or japanese, for those who prefer that. Overall, will last for a very long time, and you’ll see yourself come back to it every day. Also, to everyone saying the game is too hard or that some cards or too overpowered, Yugi literally said in the first episode that You must use spells to power with your monsters. Not only that, but every single way to play has a counter. And, always remember this quote from the man Yugi himself: “What can be seen but remains unseen?”. I mean, those people are probably just new to the game anyway….

This game has no heart. PvP is ruled by people who load their decks with the same cards to the point on higher levels every match feels the same and can be won in the first 3 turns. This game would be a lot better if some of the cheesier cards that allow you to summon 3 or 4 monsters per turn were actually rare and not handed out to everyone. I want an actual duel not just watching somebody play half their deck in one turn and win. Also i dont understand the “shuffle” aspect. I noticed some of my best spell cards rarely get put in my hand while the same 3 cards will constantly be put in my hand. I once got to turn 30 by strategizing and utilizing my spell and trap cards, with the hope of being dealt my favorite magic card only to never see it in the 15 turns i had. Not just in those 15 turns but i played 15 straight PvPs and didnt see that card once. Theres no way these cards are being shuffled like they are supposed to be. I even rearranged my deck and see no improvements.Overall playing the computer on higher levels is fun but PvPs get monotonous when everybody’s playing the same way in order to get quick and cheesy wins in 3 turns. I want to actually duel like in the anime/game. Not just cheese summon cards to get all my best monsters in turn 2. Thats not how the game is played. Nobody is summoning their best monster in 2 turns in any episodes ive ever seen.

I have just recently came back after taking a little break. I will say this game will always be amazing just due to the community and my love for this game. This game is very in depth and isn’t evolved tremendously over the years compared to when I first started to now, there are so many different options and so many different gaming styles, but obviously with the good comes the bad I do feel the summons Have got a little out of hand. To have someone on their first hand and already have three monster cards out on the field is a little excessive when I watched Yu-Gi-Oh! the actual show I don’t ever remember seeing the stuff that I see going on in this game now with that being said the game and this is not meant to be a negative review just showing room to improve and possibly bring in some nerves or reality to this game. I do feel that there should be a separate ranked mode for people who want to have all of these special summons and synchro summons because these were not a part of the original game. I gave four stars because sometimes you need to keep in mind the true roots of the game and where it started from and catered to those who have been watching the show since day one and synchro summons were never a part of of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! therefore there should be a separate ranked matchmaking for that place style if that’s what you choose to do.

This game is absolutely amazing and I have no major concerns at all. It does eat up battery if you have all the best features on but that’s not a problem. I just charge my phone before and after I play. As far as the UI, there hasn’t been a single moment that I’ve ever been upset with the way the game is payed out and played. You never have to navigate through a ton of menus or have to click a whole bunch to get to where you need. Usually it is just one click or swipe away and I love it! I stopped playing the game for a year and had to start over about two months ago and I have already collected enough cards to have one of the best decks out there right now! Not to mention my gems and coins build up so much that I forget I have so many!!! This game is just incredible in every way! It never lags, never crashes, always get updates and you never lack communication about maintenance and issues with the game. I love how fast the fixes are. The only ONLY small issue I have is that once you or your opponent have lost all their life points, as they reach zero, the screens slowly fills bright white and then reaches a point where I have to turn my phone away or close my eyes, even on the lowest brightness level 🥺. I understand this suggestion may not be taken by the developers but if by chance you do see this review I and I’m sure many others would greatly appreciate if you could find a way to lower that bright white screen or possibly replace/take it out all together!
