Rooted in the traditional lore of the Iñupiat (an Alaska Native people), Never Alone’s story mixes real-life elements with mythological creatures like spirit helpers and the fireball-hurling Manslayer. And dozens of video interviews with members of the Iñupiat community add resonance by explaining the cultural significance of various myths and scenarios.

Quick tip: To escape the polar bear’s den, first use Fox to lure the bear to the cave entrance before wall-jumping to safety. Then throw Nuna’s bola to make the beast headbutt the far-right ledge she’s standing on. Repeat that process two more times. The bear’s third headbutt will open a path to freedom!
