    Pristine is a NodeJS framework that is decoupled, extremely lightweight, easy to use, extremely fast with very minimal external dependencies. Pristine's best use-case scenario is in situations where requiring a very small coldstart is necessary.

    Pristine is a NodeJS framework that is decoupled, extremely lightweight, easy to use, extremely fast with very minimal external dependencies. Pristine's best use-case scenario is in situations where requiring a very small coldstart is necessary.

    The idea behind Pristine is to have the developers using it focus on writing business logic (similar to Spring or Symfony). But, it's built to be run under different architecture. For example, most of the other frameworks, when used in the Serverless world, have a requirement to start an HTTP Server which makes no sense in a serverless world when you already have the event into a Javascript object.

    Therefore, Pristine is agnostic to how and where it’s being ran. You can run your code inside AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or using a NodeJS server via Express or Fastify for example. This makes it easy for developers to code without having to worry about infrastructure or where the code will run.

    At its core, Pristine minimizes the dependencies on external node modules and strives to have a very clear separation of concerns. It uses dependency injection for almost everything, even configuration parameters.

    The driving motivator behind Pristine, is to alleviate one of the major issues with serverless, that is cold starts. With its low number of external dependencies, Pristine makes it easier to achieve a much smaller bundle then you would with NestJS for example.

    Finally, the term pristine inspires the code in this framework to be pristine, clear and concise.
