We tend to compare job offers by looking at the biggest number: $220K vs. $250K But those salaries can mean very different things depending on where you live. This chart compares cost of living with quality of life across 100+ cities. And it’s a good reminder that your salary is only one part of your compensation. A higher-paying job can also mean: Higher housing costs Higher taxes More expensive childcare A longer commute Less disposable income at the end of the month Meanwhile, taking a lower salary in a lower-cost city could leave you with more money and a better quality of life. This matters even more now that some people have flexibility over where they work. So when you’re comparing two offers, don’t just ask: “Which company is paying me more?” Maybe ask: “Which job gives me the life I actually want?” Curious what people think. This marks Canada’s first-ever World Cup knockout stage win and sees them advance to the Round of 16 for the first time in history. As co-hosts, this team has shown resilience, skill, and heart on the biggest stage.
