About Claudia Picado

Claudia Picado is a Features Writer who has been covering film and television at Collider for nearly three years. She's been writing for as long as she can remember, but developed a love for cinema while studying at NYU, where she earned a BS in Media, Culture, and Communication, and a BA in Spanish. With her writing, she loves to explore the ways film and television both shape and reflect the world around us. Though she’ll watch pretty much anything, she is especially passionate about women-centered stories and the success of women both in front of and behind the camera.

Favorite Media

The Social Network is her one true cinematic love, but some other favorites include Little Miss Sunshine, Serial Mom, The Witch, and In the Mood for Love. Some of her favorite directors are Robert Eggers, David Fincher, and Greta Gerwig. Her favorite shows are Succession, Fleabag, Midnight Mass, Seinfeld, and Mr. Robot, and she’s watched Veep too many times to count. She’ll also talk your ear off about Love Island if you let her.

During her time at Collider, Claudia has covered a little bit of everything related to film and television. When covering film, she gravitates towards horror, dark comedies, and thrillers, and has a distinct passion for romantic comedies of all kinds. As far as television goes, she’s extensively covered shows like Industry, Yellowjackets, Succession, Euphoria, and the work of Mike Flanagan.
