About Collier Jennings

Collier Jennings is an entertainment journalist with extensive experience. Collier, or "CJ" to his friends and family, is a dedicated fan of genre films - particularly science fiction, fantasy, and comic book adaptations, not to mention all forms of animation. This stems from a close bond with his father, who introduced him to these genres via copies of X-Men comics and reruns of the original Ultraman series. With his near-encyclopedic knowledge and bottomless love of genre, he's tackled a wide variety of articles.

Industry Experience

Collier started out writing freelance articles at But Why Tho? A Geek Community. Over the years, his coverage has expanded to include sites like /Film, Comic Book Resources, AIPT, and IGNHe's also a proud member of the Seattle Film Critics Society and has covered major pop culture events, including San Diego Comic Con for five years in a row, delivering breaking news and interviews.

Favorite Media

Collier is best known as the "Superhero Guy" to his friends, family and fellow writers because of his love for Marvel, DC, Image and other comic book characters - especially where Spider-Man and Superman are concerned. He also has a deep love of science fiction and fantasy, counting the original Star Wars trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. TV-wise, he gravitates toward genre shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and various Star Trek shows, though he does have a soft spot for comedies. He also loves a good book, counting the works of H.G. Wells, Isaac Asimov and Andy Weir among his favorites.
