About Gabriel Bell

Gabriel Bell, Collider's Managing Editor, has been guiding and directing the content side of operations at the site since he arrived in early 2022 with a focus on film. As a writer and editor, he has covered subjects as diverse as fashion, the arts, politics, entertainment, hard-breaking news, tech, and design. He was pursuing a post-graduate degree in Philosophy until he thought better of it and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York because of course he does.

Industry Experience

Gabriel's experience goes far back to the days of Wordpress 1.0, when sites were blogs and most of the publishing industry hadn't tapped in to the grand potential of online media. As that changed, he gained as an ditor at CITY Magazine, Refinery29, NYLON, Details, Surface, Salon, and Vocativ many other publications in both junior and senior roles. In addition, his writing has appeared in SOMA, The New York Post, Domino, multiple Hearst puplications, and elsewhere.

Favorite Media

From pure trash to high art, Gabriel's tastes are electic and, honestly, a little random. His favorite horror movie might just be Let The Right One In, but he's honestly torn. Certainly, The Blair Witch Project kept him awake for 24 hours straight after watching it. His MCU pick is The Winter Solider, he's watched both The Terror and Chernobyl through no less than three times, will bore you to death with takes on David Lynch's Dune and Moonstruck, and his Amazon queue is filled with Béla Tarr films. He refuses to recognize the existence of The Rise of Skywalker.
