Born with Autism (formerly classified as Asperger syndrome), Tyler B. Searle has been obsessed with storytelling since he was old enough to speak. He gravitated towards fairy tales, mythology, the fantasy genre, and animated movies and shows aimed at family audiences. When not writing, Tyler enjoys watching more cartoons and reading fantasy books in his home in Ontario, Canada.

Tyler B. Searle consumes many types of animated films. His favourite animation company is DreamWorks, and his favourite film by them is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. His favourite era of Disney is the Disney Renaissance, with his favourite film being Beauty and the Beast. Don Bluth is his favourite animator, and his favourite film by Bluth is The Land Before Time.

Tyler B. Searle enjoys a large amount of animated shows, especially from his home country of Canada. Nelvana is his favourite animation company, and his favourite show from them is a tie between Rupert and 6Teen. His favourite Canadian shows are Beast Wars: Transformers, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and The Racoons. His favourite Canadian television writers are Terry Saltsman, Nicole Demerse, and the duo of Mary Crawford and Alan Templeton. Beyond Canada, his favorite shows include Adventure Time, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Batman the Animated Series, Digimon Adventures and Tamers, and Gargoyles
