Sometimes a horror movie doesn't need an over-the-top premise to make you actually terrified. In fact, often, simplicity works best because when you get right into the primal fears many of us share, that's all you need. Fallwas one of those movies that fully understood that. Take two women, strand them thousands of feet above the ground on an abandoned television tower, throw in some particularly unpleasant birds, and suddenly looking down from the top of a stepladder doesn’t seem quite so appealing.
Apparently, one bout of cinematic vertigo wasn’t enough. Lionsgate has officially unveiled the latest trailer for Fall 2: Deadpoint, and this time the franchise is heading overseas for another round of extremely questionable decisions involving heights. The official synopsis reads:
“From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left two friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline. In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before.”
The sequel follows the surprising success of 2022’s Fall, which became of the year's most surprising sleeper hits. Made for only around $3 million, the original earned more than $20 million worldwide and that's before it exploded on streaming, where it really found an audience. Considering the movie essentially turned acrophobia into a feature-length nightmare, expanding it into a franchise suddenly didn’t seem quite so crazy.

Who Stars in 'Fall 2: Deadpoint'?
Fall 2: Deadpoint stars Tom Brittney (The Westies), Harriet Slater (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), Einar Haraldsson, and Juju Journey Brener (Hocus Pocus 2). But as ever, sometimes it's not just the cast that you come to see, because we're almost more interested in the gigantic, deadly chasm below the cast. Can that be credited as a cast member too?
The sequel is directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, better known as the Spierig Brothers, whose previous credits include Jigsaw, Predestination and Winchester. Jonathan Frank and original Fall director Scott Mann wrote the screenplay based on characters they created, with Mann also producing alongside James Harris, Mark Lane, David Haring and Christian Mercuri.
