This is a powerful list - tho I wouldn't put Child's Play on this level
I'd call Texas Chainsaw a splatter movie, but not a slasher
With Psycho, I'd call it a mystery thriller intersecting w horror - but I wouldn't say Psycho itself is a slasher movie, even tho it virtually gave birth to such subgenres
Quentin Tarantino Confronted Roger Ebert After the Critic Said He Shouldn’t Act
I see what Ebert was talking about - tho I do think QT's onscreen work in Pulp Fiction served that film very well - but part of the comedy of that hilarious scene was the in-joke of his presence in its own right, and precisely in how out of place he seemed, in relation to how these other characters were responding to him - it worked wonderfully in that film, but that sort of joke grows old very fast if repeated in other projects
10 Books That Would Be Perfect A24 Movies

10 Valid Complaints We Have With the MCU
Casting RDJ as Dr Doom was especially awful - since the character is so iconic and beloved, and notorious for having been repeatedly mishandled - there was so much anticipation around this - and they could easily have cast anyone of South Asian heritage, since Romanis are South Asian diaspora - just like they cast basically anyone of African heritage to play an African character, regardless of which part of Africa is involved - besides the heritage issue, of course, the presence of such a familiar MCU actor is obviously distracting, and makes him the center of attention instead of the character - just, why?
