Was a rental fee separate from Prime membership dues required to watch it at the time? The article did mention that it has been available as a video on demand offering for a few months. What the author was referring to is the ability to watch something on Prime without any extra fees or subscriptions. Apparently, most industry watchers thought Amazon would bring Project Hail Mary, a film from a studio it owns, to Prime; to let their marque video service bask in the glory of the company's first big hit film. Instead, it's being put at a much smaller, secondary cable and streaming company; presumably as a way to increase subscriptions and Project Hail Mary will arrive as a standard Prime Video offering before the end of the Summer

GravyTrain420 The persistent rumor since Tombstone was released in theaters was that Russell actually did the majority of the direction and supervision of the final assembly, but didn't want to step on Cosmatos' toes professionally by taking any credit. I have no idea how accurate those rumors are, but I have never seen or read an interview with Russell where the subject has come up where he has given a solid yes or no to the question. Now someone will post a 1997 interview from a Romanian movie magazine that will make me a lier. 🙃
