Speaking of bad writing, you misspelled Mr Sklenar's character's name - it's not Specner.
And I don't recall anyone in Yellowstone saying that he's the one who lost a leg. As I imagine someone else may have already pointed out, most of us have two sets of grandparents.
The dinosaur bones storyline just illustrated that even on the rez, no one is safe, nor is anyone's property. Beyond that, the bones are irrelevant.
You can find plot holes in just about every show out there, or you can simply choose to enjoy the show. I'll pick the latter.
