It was a really strange bit of coincidence that a few weeks back that, I had the very first season of Heroes on my watch list, and had started too watch the few episode's of this brilliant season.

It was originally shown in the UK, on BBC2 and was a weekly drop. Hype surrounding the show was so well deserved. Because even now that, first season is quite extraordinary with it's original storyline, theme's, subtext and concept's.

Heroes Tv was a real major game changer.

And Season One was 23 episode's of pure undiluted joy. And as a superhero, fantasy, supernatural drama show. Heroes most definitely ticked a lot of boxes.

It was also very fresh, innovative and just a well-written show.

Heroes was often funny and also deeply moving, as it explored how certain characters were navigating their place in the world and have to deal with the trials and tribulations of their everyday life.

And all of the time trying to keep their superpowers still hidden.

Heroes tv also featured a great ensemble cast of relatively unknown actor's - it was perfect casting. Especially since there were 23 episode's where the exciting storylines and subplots, each of the main characters backstory's could properly be fleshed out and explored.

Heroes tv season one still holds up.

It's very much a rewatchable.

Just like the Lost tv season one.

Granted that subsequent season's were a mixed bag of tricks. As the show runners appeared to run out of steam.

"Save the Cheerleader, Save the World..."

Speaking of which...

R.I.P...Hayden Panettiere.

My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Hayden was only 36yr old.

And it just so sad to hear of her passing.

Gone too soon.

And Nashville and Heroes tv were Hayden's apex/Magnus opus. A very talented beautiful actress and a mother who will be missed by one and all.

Tomorrow is never promised.

To be fair, the original trailer ended up being far better than the movie.

It had very good ensemble cast.

But there was much controversy surrounding the behind-the-scenes interference by the studio.

And by the sounds of it, the top brass

weren't happy with the horror, indie vibes, and basically chose to butcher the New Mutants in the editing.

It also didn't help the release schedule when the pandemic hit. And literally put so many film and tv streaming projects on hold.

It's such a shame because on paper New Mutant had so many interesting ideas.

If only the studio had more faith and a bigger set of balls to commit themselves to going down the indie horror route.

Instead of desperately tie everything into an already dead-in-the water, Fox X-Men franchise.

Which had crossed the point of no return with that Simon Kimberb badly directed, really awful X-Men: Dark Phoenix film. At least, New Mutant was a halfway a decent film. Dark Phoenix completely wasted so many very good actor's. It was a paycheck film.

And never thought that there could be a movie than X-Men: Last Stand.

Sorry that you feel this way.

But fortunately, Battlestar Galactica, still attracts a large online fan base that, even though the ending might just not be to everybody's liking. The series as a whole is still featured in virtually every list of Top Ten Best Sci-fi fantasy show's.

And it's been syndicated and rewatched several numerous times over.

It's a masterpiece.

The Expanse, For All Mankind are also sci-fi masterpieces.

Even so, I still respect your opinion.

For me, the one sci-fi show that, I refuse to watch and that, I cannot stand is,

Babylon 5. I have no intention of rewatching that show. It's just not my jam.

I would strongly disagree with your assessment of the ending of Battlestar Galactica. Especially when compared to the problematic last season of Game of Thrones that, apart from taken an eternity to shoot. Was considerably shorter than the first several season's.

Danaerys descent into Mad Revengeful Queen only spanned the last episode.

There were also so many rushed sub-plot, and nonsensical storyline's and weird dialogue choices.

Game of Thrones, half of season 8 was just awful. But not as bad as the finale season of Stranger Things. Now that was truly bad.

Whereas Battlestar Galactica at least had a proper ending.

And I have also absolutely no problem rewatching either GoT or Battlestar Galactica. Even if not everyone didn't like the way that they ended. There's still a rewatchable factor.

The Dracula (2020) miniseries, the first two episodes were very good. But it completely fumbled the bag in it's finale.

But it's saving grace is the very enigmatic performance by Danish actor, Claes Bang,

whom steals, chews up the scenery, with every scene that he's in.

Even so, the setting of Dracula within 21st Century, I'm not sure really works.

And I'm really not sure why it's included on this list.

Alternative list;-

Andor should obviously be in the No.1 spot.

No.2 it's Wanda vision.

Followed by X-Men '97.

Then, The Mandolorian S1-2.

But unpopular opinion, I actually think that,

The Falcon and Winter Soldier is an underrated show. I much prefer it, to the dreadful debacle of Captain America 4.

The inclusion of Harrison Ford's Red Hulk was obviously a vanity push by the Producers. And the storyline completely hijacked what should've been Anthony Mackie's movie.

However the biggest mistake and travesty in Captain America: Brave New World was not making Sam Wilson a Super soldier.

Which would've turned the Red Hulk fight into something total badass.

As for Moon Knight. The first half that show was actually superb. And then it got sucked into weird psycho sorcery mumbo jumbo. And they literally lost the plot.

However Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke were the real standouts in it.
