Really? It was successful. But the best thing I could say about was it was the show I'd leave the TV on during a weekend afternoon because the only other options were boring sports or infomercials. It never convinced me as it bounced between farce and seriousness
Patton was kind of propaganda. The real man was a shrill voiced overrated bigot who certainly was not someone the Germans were obsessed with. It was only the grace of better officers that kept him in the war that his legend could exist.
