White Dog is by no stretch of the imagination a horror movie. It is a drama with elements of suspense. The Incredible Shrinking Man is not only "remembered," it is widely recognized as one of the great American 1950s science fiction movies. No, it is not a horror movie just because it features a battle between a shrunken man and a spider.

Glad to see vast of the night make it on to a list. It's woefully underrated. Other great sci-fi that flew under the radar include UFO with Gillian Anderson, The artifice girl, and The girl with the gifts. Excellent. Pandorum, however, doesn't belong on any such list. It is a terrible movie. Sunshine was really great until it utterly fell apart.

Crawl is poorly written in poorly directed. Also, it is not a "creature" feature. It's a "when animals attack" flick. Creature features almost by definition include preternatural, mythical, legendary, chimera and other creatures on the fringe of science. An alligator or crocodile doesn't count.

Tim Burton's planet of the apes was terrible but every other apes movie since then has been really great. Will received but somehow still underrated. I like a lot of what Reeves has done but let me in was an absolutely pointless movie that could not match the original.
