𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗟𝗔𝗕: 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗖𝗗 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝟮𝟳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿. I bought it at the Virginia Tech bookstore as a student. Back then, #MATLAB was a tool for homework and my first steps into research. Fast forward nearly three decades: I’ve spent almost 14 years at MathWorks, working with universities and researchers using #MATLAB and #Simulink in a very different world. The delivery mechanism changed. The CDs disappeared. But the role of computation in engineering and science didn’t fade. It expanded. Sometimes progress looks like high performance, scalable computing quietly powering discovery. And sometimes it looks like an old CD on a shelf, reminding you where it all started.
