AirPods Pro 2 Hardware Failure (SNR/HDI) with zero damage: Denied free service despite proven internal fault. Advice needed!
i purchase airpods pro 2 in october 2024
within 18 months
i experienced an issue with the left airpod
it stopped charging and after some days it totally stopped working
when i checked apple support for this issue it mentioned to forget my device
when i did the airpods stopped appearing in any of my apple device
even after multiple times restarting my iphone and resseting the airpods, still the airpods wont appear to connect
i visited apple authorised service center and there my airpods pro 2 were diagnosed with SNR/HDI kind of internal issue
the expert said the airpods are not repairable and has to be replaced and it will cost 9400 INR
to which i asked him my airpods never had any occurance of falling or mishandling then why this issue came
he mentioned it can happen anytime
so my question is that why shall i pay such a hefty amount that is almost 50% of MRP of the whole product for a fault in which i had no responsibility
kindly tell me what should i do now
