Airpods Optimized charge limit learning on Mac

Okay so i use a Macbook Air M4. I recently bought the new Airpods pro 3 but do not have an Iphone and use a Samsung phone. I mostly use my Airpods pro on my Mac anyways so there is no issue there and even with the Samsung they are great earbuds. I was wondering for the Optimized charge limit whether it would actually learn on Mac or not. I have turned it on already as the toggle is available on MacOS itself. This just contradicts with Apple's reports which state that it only works on Iphone or Ipad? But the option to toggle it on in my system settings is there but im just not sure whether the algorithm learns or not on Mac. Please help.... i want these Airpods to last. Anyone tested this and know for sure as to whether it works or not as i mentioned (on Mac only). However any help is very well appreciated so if you have any idea please say.
