Important notes
↑ Back to top- In versions 3.0.2 and higher, the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax extension was renamed to “WooCommerce Tax” for new installs and “WooCommerce Tax (previously WooCommerce Shipping & Tax)” for existing installs. This is solely a visual change to the name, as the code remains the same in both cases.
- WooCommerce Tax is designed to remove the work of building and updating custom tax rate tables by automating tax calculations for supported countries.
- Legacy shipping label functionality is still available when this extension is used on its own but is limited to USPS and DHL Express. For additional carriers (UPS and FedEx) and features, we recommend using the new WooCommerce Shipping plugin for shipping labels instead.
- The new WooCommerce Shipping extension and WooCommerce Tax are compatible and can be used together. If both extensions are active on your site simultaneously, WooCommerce Shipping will take over the shipping label functionality (disabling the legacy shipping label UI) and WooCommerce Tax will provide access to the “Automated Taxes” feature.
