Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Element Note, an application built by SoySauce Lab ("Element Note", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about our notice, or our practices with regards to your personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
When you visit our mobile application, and use our services, you trust us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we describe our privacy notice. We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. We hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Apps and our services.
This privacy notice applies to all information collected through our mobile application, ("Apps"), and/or any related services, sales, marketing or events (we refer to them collectively in this privacy notice as the "Services"). Please read this privacy notice carefully as it will help you make informed decisions about sharing your personal information with us.
In Short: Some information – such as IP address and/or device characteristics – is collected automatically when you visit our Apps.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Apps. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Apps and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Apps, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
In Short: We may collect information regarding your mobile device, when you use our apps.
If you use our Apps, we may also collect the following information: Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s camera, microphone, and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings. Mobile Device Data. We may automatically collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer), operating system, version information and IP address.
Apple processes in-app payments. We use RevenueCat to manage purchases, subscription status, restoration, and access to paid features. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription records associated with an app user identifier. These records support app functionality, customer support, and revenue analytics. We do not receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
The following applies to the App Store release of Element Note 2.13.0 and later on iOS. It is not enabled in the Mac app or in TestFlight builds.
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to report app activation and successful paid-purchase events. This helps us measure our advertising and configure purchase-based campaign measurement. Reports include an identifier associated with an app installation and app/device context, such as operating system and device information. As with other network requests, Meta can receive the device's IP address. These reports are not fully anonymous: the installation identifier can link events from the same installation.
We disable collection of Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and configure Meta's event data usage setting to limit use to analytics and conversions. Element Note does not display an App Tracking Transparency permission prompt for this reporting. The SDK reads the existing system permission status; the app does not grant or override tracking permission.
Our advertising integration does not send note contents, imported documents, email addresses, app account identifiers, or transaction identifiers to Meta. Paid purchases are reported as events without a purchase amount. We do not forward RevenueCat purchase events or customer identifiers to Meta through a RevenueCat integration. Meta processes information under its applicable terms and privacy policy.
We also use Apple's SKAdNetwork to report aggregate signals about app opens and paid purchases attributed to advertising. Apple controls the timing and detail of these reports and applies privacy protections. These reports do not provide us with a list of identified people who viewed or clicked an ad. See Apple's SKAdNetwork documentation.
