Watch: Kelsea Ballerini Reunites With Madelyn Cline After Grammys 2026

Kelsea Ballerini and Madelyn Cline can’t help but laugh at rumors of bad blood between them.

Hours after the “I Sit In Parks” singer walked the red carpet for the 2026 Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, she and boyfriend Chase Stokes’ ex joined forces for some drama-free bonding time.

Indeed, the pair proved they’re on good terms in a playful selfie shared on Madelyn’s Instagram Stories Feb. 2, where they appeared to be giggling while covering their faces. The 28-year-old also tagged Kelsea, 32, in the post, in which they sported matching top knots.

Although Madelyn and Chase, 33, dated from 2020 to 2021, they continue to play love interests in Outer Banks and have spoken highly of one another. As for him and Kelsea, the two parted ways in September after two years of dating, only for the Voice coach to confirm their rekindled romance on New Year’s Eve.

“Messy year for the heart, messy year for the outside coming in, messy year for the way it became an out of our hands portrayal of it,” Kelsea wrote in a Dec. 31 Instagram Stories post alongside a photo of her and Chase. “But what i'll say, and all i really care to share indefinitely with my personal life anymore, is that i really love love. I believe in it, i believe in him, and i believe in breaking patterns.”

But along the way, social media users began sharing their theories that Kelsea’s song “Emerald City”—off her newest EP Mount Pleasant—was about comparing herself to Madelyn. And while Chase swiftly condemned the online chatter, Kelsea also spoke up for herself and her creative process.

“I write songs to relate to,” she told fans during a performance in Nashville at the time, per People, “not to make a point on the internet.”

For the time being, though, the “Peter Pan” artist revealed she’s focusing less on songwriting and more on living in the moment.

“I've always been a chronic oversharer, and I think for the first time, at 32, I'm reining it in,” she exclusively told Zuri Hall during Live From E!: Grammys while on the red carpet Feb. 1. “I think my life might just be my life for a while.”
