See AllHow Marathon Relates to and Improves On the Original 1994 Game
Hey! I answer your rhetorical question in the second paragraph. Not sure if you read that far, but just thought I’d let you know I can you ever want to double back.
Why The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Is Already Beating Exodus as the Next Mass Effect
Hey! Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy Osiris - I’m frankly going off of what these two games look like and the public details. But I don’t think anyone has publicly played Exodus yet so I’m not sure where your getting impression about it from!
After Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters Face a Harsh Truth
That's a great point about launch timing Jeff - though I will say, I have a gut feeling that, given it'll be remakes of two already very popular games, they will find an audience either way. From the outside looking in , I'm definitely more worried about how that audience is treated.

Hey Steven, thanks for your comment. Sacrilege sounds like bit much, but I’m happy to agree to disagree. Would love to hear your list or what you’d change, too!

One of my colleagues, fellow GR writer Cameron Swan, totally agrees - it might be his favorite I think. I love that so many people have such unique takes on that game. I didn’t love it, but I did have fun with it. I certainly think it’s over-hated, especially nowadays.
I Marathoned All Mainline Assassin's Creed Games Ahead of Black Flag Resynced, and Here's My Official Ranking
Hey Philip! Certainly didn’t skip any cutscenes, and certainly don’t need hand holding, but I do understand where you are coming from. I’d love to share some reasonings:
1.I definitely understand why unity may seem strangely placed considering its mediocre narrative quality, but I’d argue that unity wins out based on the greater quality of the package nowadays. Additionally, id push back on what you said about multiplayer quests. They were certainly not required when I recently played it - though I did play some solo (which was always an option) to get gear I thought was cool for my play style. I think that’s a cool thing they added.
2.When I say shadows has very little to do with Assassins vs templars, I mean in the sense that the greater story of that conflict - across all of the games - is largely unrelated to the one that’s actually in shadows. Yasuke’s story is of course related to some templars that hint toward the greater picture, but that doesn’t make it particularly compelling, either - though it is probably the best the game has to offer.
3.i truly don’t think there is any world in which unity is more grindy and repetitive than Valhalla, odyssey, mirage, or shadows. These games all have different kinds and degrees of padding, but one thing they share is a shift in mission structure from a set mission order to targets to kill in any order, which totally removes any sense of pacing beyond level scaling.
finalky, I’d say that I’d much a prefer a game not waste my time for the sake of “content”. That’s my bias, and I’ll own that. I’d rather have too little of a good game, than too much of a mediocre one. Games should be compelling, not just something to do. I hope that tracks as I say that I truly think Valhalla is terrible, and mirage is bland filler.
we don’t have to agree though! And I’m glad you feel strongly about these games! That’s what it’s all about.
all the best,
chris
