Hello everyone,

I'm currently developing an ERP system using Next.js 15 with Tailwind CSS 4. Initially, I tried to implement file uploads using UploadThing, but despite thorough efforts and extensive documentation review, I found it challenging to integrate effectively into my project. i could not make it work properly, regardless of using any AI tool I don't know why.

I'm now exploring alternative solutions that offer:

Seamless Integration: Compatibility with Next.js 15 and Tailwind CSS 4.

Cost-Effectiveness: an good pricing and if it has a free plan like 2 to 5 gb free of usage I don't mind or any open source library

I've come across Uppy and Bytescale:

While these options seem good choice but I do not know if they are working well with my tool and language or have any issue.

What file upload solutions have you successfully integrated with Next.js 15?

Are there any hidden costs or challenges associated with Uppy, Bytescale, or other alternatives that I should be aware of?

Do you have experience with any solutions that balance ease of integration, scalability, and affordability?

i would like to hear from you and guide me to the best choices in all aspects, especially in pricing and compatibility

For Next.js 15, Uppy + Cloudflare R2 (or MinIO) is the safest long-term option: open source, no lock-in (which is dope), and cheap. Bytescale is easier to set up but can get expensive and locks you in. For an ERP, Uppy is the "boring-but-reliable" choice.
