GitHub Student Dev Pack - Correct Email Format Still Rejected for COMSATS University Islamabad

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with my GitHub Student Developer Pack application despite having the exact email format required.

My Situation:

• University: COMSATS University Islamabad
• Email: FA21-BCS-015@ISBSTUDENT.COMSATS.EDU.PK (verified and set as primary)
• Issue: Application keeps saying I need to use "@isbstudent.comsats.edu.pk" format

What I've Tried:

• Email is verified and set as primary in GitHub settings
• Waited 48+ hours after verification
• Tried different browsers and incognito mode
• Cleared cache and cookies
• The email format matches exactly what the error message requests

Error Message:
"We require applicants of COMSATS University Islamabad to use one of these school-issued email addresses to apply: * isbstudent.comsats.edu.pk"

My email already follows this exact format, but the application keeps rejecting it. Has anyone from COMSATS or similar universities faced this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Additional Info:

• This is preventing me from accessing educational resources I need for certifications
• GitHub Support directed me here for technical issues
• I'm a current student with valid enrollment

UPDATE: When I select 'Teacher' option, the application proceeds normally with my COMSATS email. This suggests there's a specific bug in the student application flow for my university.

Hi @enigmAsad,

To solve this, you have to contact support by opening a ticket here, select "My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location" and explain the issue with your academic email domain.

Enter the email in lowercase. It should work.
