Hey! Don't panic—your 200 commits are definitely safe, but do not delete the Codespace from your dashboard. As long as it sits there, the data is safe on the disk. Since the free limit expired, the browser buttons (like 'create branch') are locked. To get your files back, you just need to bypass the browser: The Fix: You need to use the GitHub CLI tool on your local laptop. It allows you to 'reach in' to the frozen Codespace and copy the files to your desktop without needing to start the machine. Hope this helps, rest can be found on youtube. |

I have over 200 commits which are stuck in Codespace and I was suddenly, and without warning, shut out of Codespace and unable to recover my files or push them to Git. The create new branch does not work. My credit cards to buy more time also are not working. Help!
