I've set it to run every 5 minutes for debugging purposes but I cannot seem to get it to fire no matter what I do. This is my first time using Actions and I understand sometimes it is delayed, but so far not once has it actually done a scheduled run. Maybe I missed something obvious, but help would be really appreciated.

A couple of common things to check with scheduled GitHub Actions:

The workflow file must be on the default branch (usually main) for schedule to run

cron schedules can be delayed and aren’t guaranteed to run exactly on time, especially every 5 minutes

GitHub won’t run scheduled workflows on forked repos unless explicitly enabled

Make sure the workflow isn’t disabled in the Actions tab

If all that looks correct, try pushing a small change to the default branch or running it manually once to confirm the workflow itself works.

Thanks for your reply, I tried all of the above a bunch of times before writing this and unfortunately none of it worked.
