Feature Request: Customize Default Home Page View

Summary

Allow users to set their personal repositories list as the default view when logging into GitHub, instead of always showing the activity feed.

Problem

Currently, when users log in to GitHub, the Home page always displays an activity feed showing their own activity and activity from followed users/organizations. There is no option to change this default view.

To see their own repositories, users must:

1. Click their profile picture
2. Select "Your repositories" from the dropdown
3. Or manually navigate to https://github.com/{username}?tab=repositories

This adds extra steps for users who primarily want to access and manage their own repositories.

Proposed Solution

Add a setting in Settings > Appearance or Settings > Home that allows users to choose their default Home page view, with options such as:

• Activity Feed (current default)
• My Repositories
• Other customizable views

Benefits

• Improves user experience for developers who frequently manage their own repos
• Reduces the number of clicks needed to access personal repositories
• Allows personalization based on individual workflow preferences

Current Workaround

Users can bookmark https://github.com/{username}?tab=repositories or set it as their browser's home page, but this is not a native GitHub feature.

Additional Context

This would help users who primarily use GitHub to manage and view their own projects, rather than those focused on social activity and contributions.
