Bro, I get why you’re frustrated. After putting in card details and buying Copilot Pro, seeing it disabled would annoy anyone. From what you described, this usually happens when GitHub flags the activation for verification or billing checks. It doesn’t mean your account is permanently blocked. First thing I’d check is Settings → Billing & Plans and confirm the payment actually went through and the subscription shows active. Then open Settings → Copilot and see if it’s enabled there. Sometimes it stays off until you toggle it. If you’re using a VPN or switching networks a lot, try turning that off and sign in again. Security systems sometimes flag unusual activity and pause activation. Also try logging out and back in, or opening GitHub in a private window. Sounds simple, but session issues cause this more often than we think. If everything looks fine but Copilot still says disabled, that “contact support” message usually means they just need to verify the account manually. Opening a ticket normally gets it sorted quickly. |

Hi, I understand this situation is frustrating. Based on what you described, it does not seem like your account or IP has been intentionally blocked. This type of issue usually happens because of a billing verification problem, payment authorization delay, or a temporary system sync issue between Microsoft and Copilot services. When you enter card details and Copilot still shows as disabled, it can be caused by:
It is very unlikely that Copilot was disabled because of your IP address or system fingerprint. Microsoft does not normally block accounts that way for standard subscription activation. I recommend:
If the payment was taken and Copilot is still disabled, then this is clearly a subscription sync issue and support should escalate it. I hope this helps clarify the situation. |
