Hi everyone,

Repeated rejection despite matching my English name across all documents and GitHub settings

Hello GitHub Education team,

I am repeatedly being rejected when applying for GitHub Education as a student, even though I have followed the verification instructions and made sure that my information matches.

I have tried submitting multiple official academic documents issued by my university, including:

• A certificate of enrollment
• An academic transcript
• Other official university documents

The rejection message states that my first and last name do not exactly match the name in my GitHub billing information and user profile.

However, I have already updated both my GitHub user profile and billing information to use the same English name shown on my official academic document. The first name and last name match the document, and I am not using a nickname or a different variation of my name.

I also logged out of GitHub and logged back in after updating the information, as instructed. Despite this, my applications are still rejected almost immediately for the same name-related reason.

I have submitted several applications using different official documents, but the system continues to reject them and provides the same reason. Since the English name on my academic document, GitHub profile, and billing information already matches, I am unable to identify what is causing the verification failure.

Could someone please help me with the following?

1. Could my application be reviewed manually?
2. Is there another account setting or name field that I need to update?
3. Is there a specific document format required for Korean university students?
4. Could you clarify the actual reason why my application is being rejected?

I have attached a screenshot showing the repeated rejection messages. I have not included any personal information or images of my academic documents.

I would appreciate a manual review or more specific guidance, as repeatedly changing and resubmitting official documents has not resolved the issue.
