Hi everyone,

I’m @funnyman569, a current student. I have applied to GitHub Education multiple times while physically on campus, but my application continues to be denied.

Similar boards have been unhelpful in finding a solution.

Troubleshooting already completed:

• Confirmed my billing information matches my legal name
• Enabled MFA on my GitHub account
• Tried multiple browsers and laptops
• Reviewed the available Community guidance and similar discussions

1. School Email / Profile Matching:

   • Your GitHub account primary email (or a verified secondary email) must match your official student email address provided by your institution.
   • Make sure your GitHub Profile Name exactly matches the name on your student ID / official documents.

2. Location & IP Restrictions (Strict Geolocation):

   • Even on campus, if you are using a VPN, Proxy, Ad-blocker, or iCloud Private Relay, GitHub's automated check will flag the location mismatch and reject the application.
