Nature.com publishes peer-reviewed research, reviews and news across a number of journals. This report refers entirely to the accessibility of editorial, journal, and magazine web documents published at the top level domain of www.nature.com, including informational pages, and to all web documents included in account management pages, and the purchasing and subscription process.

Notes: The Library Accessibility Alliance (LAA) performs independent audits of suppliers’ websites and has completed an evaluation of Nature. The WebAIM Million also independently reports on the accessibility of the top 1,000,000 home pages and has placed Nature in the top 5% of all home pages with 0 accessibility errors detected.
Evaluation Methods Used: Conformance to the listed accessibility standards has been evaluated by Springer Nature's dedicated Accessibility Specialists. We use a combination of static analysis tools (including but not limited to axe by Deque, WAVE by WebAIM, and all of the tools described in our Frontend Playbook's Accessibility Guide). Our manual testing uses WCAG-EM as its base strategy, and further details are also described in our Frontend Playbook under the "Manual testing" and "Assistive technology" sections.
