Psoriasis is visible on the skin, but it’s a systemic inflammatory disease whose biology extends far beyond it. Even when the skin clears, underlying inflammatory processes may persist, along with the risks associated with psoriasis-related comorbidities. These include psoriatic arthritis and cardiometabolic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes. The risk of these conditions tends to increase with psoriasis severity, and some may be linked to the disease through shared inflammatory pathways. We believe every critical R&D decision begins with a biological question. Which pathways connect psoriasis with its comorbidities? What could these connections reveal about potential targets, treatment strategies, and the patients most likely to benefit? Answering questions like these requires trusted disease biology understanding built from human molecular and clinical data. This Psoriasis Awareness Month, we recognize the importance of continuing to investigate the broader biology of psoriasis, beyond what we can see on the skin.

We are honored to welcome Professor Emma Guttman, MD, PhD, to CytoReason's Clinical Advisory Board. Professor Guttman is one of the world's leading physician-scientists in inflammatory skin diseases. As Waldman Professor and Health System Chair of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, her pioneering research has redefined our understanding of atopic dermatitis by uncovering its molecular and immune mechanisms, helping lay the scientific foundation for today's targeted therapies. She has also led many of the landmark clinical trials that continue to shape the future of inflammatory skin disease treatment. Professor Guttman has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications and co-founded the International Eczema Council, helping shape the field both scientifically and clinically. We are delighted to welcome Professor Guttman to our Clinical Advisory Board and look forward to learning from her expertise as we continue building our computational models and advancing our understanding of disease biology.

Korean pharma leaders, investors, and healthcare institutions across Asia-Pacific gathered this week to explore Israel's biotech ecosystem. Our own Tal Almog was there to show how CytoReason helps pharma companies make better R&D decisions, grounded in disease biology — from target selection and indication prioritization to combination design and patient population. Nobody wakes up planning to build the next breakthrough. It starts when a scientist, engineer, product manager, or programmer bumps into something in their day-to-day work that feels unnecessarily tedious and thinks: "This is really annoying. There has to be a better way." That's what CytoHack01 was about. For two days, our people teamed up across disciplines to build AI-powered solutions for the things that slow us down every day. Some ideas were ambitious. Some a bit crazy. But all of them challenged the way we work today, and showed how much we can accomplish in just 36 hours. It's amazing what a multidisciplinary team, a shared challenge, limitless curiosity, and probably an unreasonable number of AI tokens can create together. Congrats to everyone who played the game, and to the teams behind the winning projects. The ideas you built won't just make our work a little less "annoying", they'll help us build a better company, and ultimately, better products for our customers. Can't wait for CytoHack02 🚀
